Scope of Work: ROOF INSPECTION: After inspecting the property, I have found that there is a couple issues going on here. The first main issue is, they used really thin, cheap plumbing in the attic to run the water. Because this plumbing is so thin it is soaking up the heat way faster than any normal PVC Plumbing wood. You combine that with a lot of the soffit vents being covered with blowing insulation. It’s not getting proper airflow to keep the attic cool. The lines are then also ran about 15 to 16 inches from the ridge, which is where all the heat accumulates. Some of the thin piping is buried in blowing insulation as well. When you add all these things together, it’s very possible that the water could be coming extremely hot. The attic could easily be getting up to 140 to 160. What I recommend is we blow out the soffit that areas with a blower from the bottom up. Then we install two solar attic fans to force the heat out of the attic to keep it at a manageable temperature.
